Kaitlyn Parra

Global Seminars Coordinator

Kaitlyn began her journey in international education as an Erasmus student in Granada, Spain. She received her B.A. in Education, complemented by a minor in Sociology, from California Lutheran University. Kaitlyn pursued her Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Certification in Thailand, where she resided and taught English at an immersion institution. Kaitlyn advanced her career in higher education by working at the American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS), a prominent organization specializing in international exchange programs, from 2021 to 2024. During her time at AIFS, she acted as the primary liaison for students from numerous universities, providing guidance on more than 140 study and internship programs.

Kaitlyn is a strong proponent of international education as a means to foster change and enhance global unity. Kaitlyn is an advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, and she is committed to ensuring that all students and faculty receive the necessary support within their Global Seminars program. In her leisure time, Kaitlyn enjoys hiking, practicing yoga, and skiing during the winter months.
